Have a brighter, younger looking smile.
Coffee, wine and food stains can cause your teeth to discolour and lose their attractive whiteness. If you are feeling embarrassed about your smile, with teeth whitening we can return it to a beautiful white smile that you will love. And the results will be permanent.
While teeth whitening is a cosmetic procedure, we strongly advocate that it is only performed by, or under the supervision of, qualified dental professionals. This will ensure the best results for you and that your gums and teeth are treated with care.
We use the KöR Whitening Deep Bleaching™ System, a teeth whitening system that is used by thousands of dentists worldwide and is now available in Adelaide. Not only has a leading dental products journal rated it as the most effective, reliable way to whiten teeth permanently, it also allows you to continue to enjoy the drinks and foods you love.
Why we recommend KöR above all other teeth whitening treatments:
- Whitens teeth dramatically – around 16 shades whiter
- Beautiful, healthy, natural looking results
- Effective on tetracycline (antibiotic) stained teeth
- Permanent – you only do periodic home maintenance
- Low to no sensitivity
- Comfortable and easy process
- Whitens while you sleep
- No need to give up coffee, wine and the foods you love.
What is a cosmetic dentist?
Learning how to do cosmetic dentistry properly requires extensive extra training that can take years. It means a heavy commitment of time, money and energy for a dentist and their team.
With extensive experience and training, our team has the “know-how” in cosmetic dentistry. We have dedicated hundreds of hours in continuing education to keep up to date with the latest in technology, materials, and techniques. Dr Phillip Stacy has specifically trained in cosmetic dentistry at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI), which is an internationally recognised and acclaimed leader in the field of cosmetic dental education.
That training has helped us to diagnose and deliver options that give our patients the results they want. We are qualified to use a wide range of techniques and materials to help achieve results that look great and work well.
We also team with the best laboratories to produce beautiful teeth, so that when they are in your mouth, all you will experience is a beautiful, natural, and stunning smile that looks and feels great.
What is involved in getting a dream smile?
The KöR Whitening Deep Bleaching™ System involves three visits to the dental clinic. There are two power bleaching sessions in the clinic and a home bleaching tray for you to use in between visits while you sleep. We apply a desensitising cream after the power bleaching to help calm sensitivity and seal your teeth so that you can continue eating and drinking the foods you love.
The home trays are designed for use while you sleep, and are thin and made for you so you don’t experience any discomfort. Unlike other home bleaching trays, the KöR Whitening Deep Bleaching™ System seals the bleach inside the tray, giving you a more effective and long-lasting bleaching period as well as keeping the bleach from leaking out into your mouth.
After you’ve completed the procedure, there are some easy home maintenance methods you can use to keep your teeth looking beautifully white even longer. Speak to your dentist at your first appointment to find out exactly how you can get the most out of your appointment.
A word about teeth whitening
You might want to get your teeth whitened for a number of reasons. It’s important to remember that results can vary and different procedures will be better for different people. There are some potential side effects that you should consider before coming in for a teeth whitening procedure. Your dentist will give you all the information that you need to make an informed decision.
Some people will experience tooth sensitivity during or after having their teeth whitened. Sore gums or throat and white patches on the gum line are also a risk, however these symptoms are usually only temporary and will most likely disappear after your treatment is completed.
If you’re looking at other options, there are over-the-counter solutions that are available. At-home whitening kits and whitening toothpastes are less effective than bleaching and won’t change the natural colour of your teeth. However, some products will be able to remove built-up staining.
We recommend speaking to the professional cosmetic dentists at Smilecare Dental before trying to whiten your teeth either professionally or at home to make sure you choose the best option for your circumstances.
